Annual Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarship Programs Available Through the Foundation for Community Care
The Foundation for Community Care Board of Directors offers the annual Healthcare Scholarship program. Richland County and surrounding area residents pursing an education in a healthcare field who intend to live and work in the area are encouraged to apply for funding. "We want to encourage local individuals to pursue careers in healthcare and stay here or return here to work after they graduate," Foundation Board Member & Scholarship Committee Chair, Kristan Haugen said. Applicants must have completed one year at a post-secondary university or college.
Two more local scholarships are now available, as well. First, the Jessica and Nathan Vannatta Memorial Healthcare Scholarship, created by their father Greg Vannatta, is a scholarship that is awarded to a resident in Richland County and the surrounding area who is pursuing a degree in the healthcare field. Both high school and college students are eligible to apply. Second, is the Josh King Memorial Ambulance Education Scholarship, a scholarship awarded bi-annually to a student, or students, in Richland County and the surrounding area pursuing a certification in a qualified paramedic curriculum.
The Scholarship application process is now open, apply online.
Applications and supporting documents must be received by the Foundation office by 4:00pm June 1st, 2020 to be considered.
