Planting Seeds of Remembrance

Memory plays an important rose in all of our lives and evokes an array of emotions. The loss of a loved one is when we especially want to grasp on to those cherished memories and most often recall moments spent loving, laughing, and being together. We see people, places and items that connect us to thoughts of those we hold in our hearts. To keep us connected through these memories is what sustains their spirit in the present as part of our everyday lives and imbeds them in new experiences that becomes part of their story continuing on.

Planting a seed can be many things: an act of necessity by planting a garden to have a bounty of produce and nourishment; a way to relate to others by planting a suggestion to spark ideas or progressive conversation; planting flowers in the spring to enjoy beautiful landscapes bursting with color. All of these acts of planting seeds bring about growth, abundance, opportunity, and feels of beginning again.

Seeds planted in love and remembrance not only bloom for someone you hold dear, it also suspends their legacy to be a presence in our everyday lives and enables them to continue to touch others. During out Memorial Day campaign, donations gifted in memoriam or honor through the Foundation for Community Care will sustain our dedication to the continuance of supporting the health and wellbeing of our community. Planting seeds in honor or memoriam offers you a chance to celebrate an extraordinary life with funds that support a variety of programs in our community. This generosity in turn will let you see the beauty of a life well lived continue to bloom. One seed planted can bloom into an abundance of beauty.

Please consider honoring those you hold dear. Click here to make a contribution to the Foundation for Community Care. In turn, we will send a personalized card and a ready to plant Forget-Me-Not seed packet to the person(s) or family in whose name the donation was made. As always, donors can trust their gifts are safe, secure, tax-deductible and the funds will remain local to do the most good.

"I keep in my heart the love of the past, for there it was planted forever to last"
